From guest GM Chris comes our playthrough of the Alien RPG adventure, “Chariot of the Gods!”

Starring:
Kayla Rye, Technician
Leah Davis, Pilot
Jennifer Wilson, Company Agent

The dying screams of Johns echoes into the Comms, but Davis has more pressing concerns. Another abomination is sprinting toward her, seemingly unaffected by the vacuum of space.

Davis uses her pistol to fire at the creature, but also to propel herself back toward the airlock, returning to the safety of the ship just as Rye and Cham show up.

The trio have fixed their respective ship parts, and the aging USCSS Cronus has a new message beginning to blare — Destination: Earth.

With few safe places left on the Cronus, the trio head toward the bridge, where Wilson has barricaded herself. A tense scene unfolds as Rye tries to get the wary agent to open the door, while the injured Cham begins exhibiting signs of mental distress and violent behavior.

Wilson finally relents, but keeps a shotgun pointed at them. But Rye turns and Davis is gone, and not responding to comms.

Wilson has her own agenda, taking Rye and Cham by gunpoint toward the Clayton’s corporate suite. There she investigates his luxurious roomy closet, which turns out to be a secret shuttle!

Rye, ever-distrustful of Wilson and concerned for Cham, slams the door closed, grabs Cham, and runs toward the med-lab.

While running the ship begins blaring a new message.

Self-destruct sequence initiated. T-minus 10 minutes.

What the hell has Davis been doing?

They reach the med-lab and put Cham in a medical pod. It confirms their worst fears. The Draconis antidote is transforming his body into one of those abominations.

Rye grows deeply emotional at the loss of the last person she still trusts, and finds herself unable to put him down.

Help would arrive in the form of the neomorph, the full-grown version of the head-bursting alien from earlier. The vicious creature drops from the ceiling and screams at Cham. Cham grapples it and screams at Rye that this was a gift, and to get the fuck out.

Rye nods and tearfully runs as well as her injured leg can carry her.

Finally Davis begins responding on the comms, and Rye tries to scream back about Cham. She runs into Wilson, who’s carrying the dead, headless body of Dr. Cooper, the very first death the cryo crew experienced.

Rye is too stunned and shocked to argue as Wilson demands she help carry the body toward the closet/pod.

While carrying the body, they year the sounds of yelling and gunfire in the near distance. Davis still isn’t responding on comms.

Wilson and Rye shove the body into the closet and return to get the body of the dead abomination they found earlier in the hallway, Rye still too scared, upset, and perplexed to ask why.

Davis finally shows back up, and a very tense scene ensues between her and Wilson. Neither trusts the other, and both make great points about the shady shit going on around the ship.

Wilson was undoubtedly the cause of the Montero’s destruction, and Captain Miller’s death. They also suspect her of seizing control of MU/TH/UR and closing the ship’s doors, which nearly got them killed from the abomination.

But Davis most likely murdered Flynn in the med-lab, possibly set the self-destruct sequence on the Cronus, and just recently murdered Clayton, whom she claims was turning into an abomination.

Wilson brings up her shotgun and forces Davis to drop and kick her pistol. Wilson kicks it toward the ladder and Rye tries to make a dive for it, but it clatters into the deck below.

Rye feels particularly hurt and betrayed by Davis, whom the dying Captain said she should trust, and who left them earlier without explanation.

Behind her, the full-grown neomorph emerges from the junction ladder below. Its brutal claws miss her, but the scream paralyzes her in place. Wilson shuts the door, trapping it and Rye inside, and runs toward the hidden escape pod in the suite.

Shocking everyone, Davis’ eyes roll back, she straightens up, and walks purposefully toward Wilson, her arms outstretched.

She’s been an android this whole god damn time!?

Apparently the real Davis as replaced by an android some time ago, with a hidden agenda to stop Weyland-Yutani from obtaining any alien material. Her programming led her to do all the acts we suspected, and now only one loose end remains.

During the chase scene Wilson brings up her gun to blast the naturally armored, strong android. Despite the difference in body, Wilson’s shotgun skills prove far better than android-Davis’ cyber-fists.

Behind them they hear the dying screams of Rye as the alien impales her on its tail, then wrenches open the door to stalk the rest of its prey — which is doing a good job of hurting themselves, thank you very much!

Wilson succeeds at blowing off android-Davis’ arm, and she climbs inside the closet and activates the escape pod. Davis tries to open the door with one arm, but fails.

As the countdown grows closer, the alien appears behind Davis just as Wilson’s pod jettisons from the ship.

Davis’ fate is sealed as the entire Cronus explodes, leaving Corporate Agent Wilson as the sole-survivor.

Final log: I Corporate Liaison Jennifer Wilson, survived a murder attempt by not only the crew of the Cronus, which we found in stasis, but also the crew of the USCSS Montero. During my time with the Montero, I discovered that the captain and crew were attempting to defraud the corporation. I risked my life to bring back what the corporation required.

I hope all their souls rest in peace. Whoever finds this: Destination: Earth. Return this shuttle and its contents to the corporation. Final log.
