The good news: the doomed party finally makes it out of the cursed chapel.
The bad news: things don’t really go any better.
Despite terrible wounds suffered from the traps in the chapel, four members of the party steel their nerves to press on.
That and the air starts growing thin. Uh-oh!
Snigbat is still missing, however, having never returned from the color-portal behind them.
Ms. Plissken insists they leave no ally behind, laying on the guilt for Montana Jackson. He begrudgingly steps through, followed by the others.
Everyone falls in an undignified piles next to Snigbat in the small button room.
Thankfully Snigbat has been busy testing the buttons, getting shot by arrows, and avoiding falling walls, opening the path back to the painting-hallway by the time the others arrive.
The reunited party found the air thinning once again. With their previous tunnel (the one they reached the chapel with) suddenly collapsed, a frustrated Montana went to the only path available: the color-portal at the end of the hallway.
He appears in yet another earlier room in the dungeon: the entrance hallway.
And he’s completely naked. Damn it!
The others stand back from the portal, suddenly wary, and look for any other secret rooms.
Snigbat randomly starts slapping all the paintings, and the first damn one he touches leads to a secret door!
Beyond is a small room with a four-armed gargoyle statue. An actual statue, not a monster, shockingly. One of the arms is broken and lying on the floor.
The party looks to Acererak’s poem, and another inscription in the room to solve the puzzle, and place the necklace they’d found earlier in its broken-arm palm.
The fist closes and crushes the necklace, but they’re rewarded with a magical gem of seeing, granting truesight with three charges. Actual treasure!
Meanwhile Montana sees the entrance to the dungeon at the other end of the hallway, and thinks maybe he should cut his losses and get out with his life. But a successful Investigation check paints this whole hallway as illusory.
Sure enough, instead of a void (sphere of annihilation), there’s now another color-portal inside the green demon-statue’s mouth.
Thinking what more is there to lose, Montana jumps into the portal.
He emerges back into the painting-hallway.
Still naked. And more voluptuously than before. He is now a she.
Damn it!!
While the rest of the party files back into the hallway, an embarrassed Montana falls back into the portal behind her, hoping to reverse the change.
Instead she ends up in a tiny room with three levers. Thumper’s death room!
Montana tries different lever combinations, ending up with an arrow to the knee each time. Her health dwindling to almost nothing, she finally takes all three levers and slams them down.
The floor drops out from under her, and the naked woman falls 100 feet to her death.
In the last moment, Acererak appears and drops Montana’s signature hat on her dead body. Cheeky bastard.

Armed with the gem of seeing, Ms. Plissken spots another secret room. They head through a small tunnel and emerge into a medium-size chamber with three treasure chests: silver, gold, and oak.
Norbert uses his wand of secrets, locating a trap on the oak chest.
Using another unseen servant, Ms. Plissken opens the silver chest, only to be greeted by four angry swarms of poisonous snakes!
These snakes have been supercharged by Acererak and given multiattack, and they immediately swarm over Snigbat, nearly killing the goblin with nasty venomous bites.
Norbert casts polymorph, transforming Snigbat into a giant boar. Before things can get weird between the boar and Snigbat’s boar mount, Piggy, the snakes quickly finish the job, chewing through all the boar’s hitpoints and downing the goblin.
Ms. Plissken revives Snigbat with a healing word, while Jerry unleashes a flurry of blows on another swarm.
The heavily injured party is in bad shape against these terribly powerful snakes, even as Ms. Plissken tries to convince one of them to leave them alone: unbeknownst to her companions, Ms. Plissken is yuan-ti!
And she’s more than that. As more snakes burst out of the gold chest and swarm over the party, Ms. Plissken falls through a hole in the floor.
She appears in a throne room next to the archlich himself. Acererak congratulates Ms. Plissken on bringing him more lambs to the slaughter — a shocking twist! The adventure ends with the two gleefully watching the last of the party fall to the snakes.
The Tomb of Horrors has claimed more victims.
